Detailed Description

You'll have plenty of space with a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area, and two generous bedrooms (one king size, and one twin).

New Forge will offer pretty much all you need for an excellent self catering holiday by the seaside. The cottage has good wi-fi broadband coverage, and a DVD in the second bedroom in case not everyone wants to watch the same thing.

The kitchen has an induction hob and wok burner, a combi microwave with oven, dishwasher and cool pink Smeg fridge with an ice box. There's a good selection of spices and oils so you need only bring your food and drink.

The dining table seats six comfortably, and more if you're friendly. There are double doors to the private garden with views to Bartinney and Chapel Carn Brea.

In the living area there is comfortable seating for six. There's a Freeview TV with DVD (and a small selection of DVDs), digital radio / CD player with i-pod connection.

We love books and there are many to suit all tastes – read what you like. But please leave them in the cottage for all to enjoy.

There is a gorgeous wood burning stove that helps makes holidays in the colder months a joy and is great when you come back from swimming and need a temperature boost. But please be careful around it if it's lit – whilst it has soapstone convection panels to help regulate the temperature, it still gets extremely hot.

Downstairs bedroom. With twin beds, a built in wardrobe / cupboard and a lovely big armchair, there's still plenty of space for children to play, or for anyone to get some private reading and contemplation space. This bedroom has a wall mounted TV with DVD and i-pod dock built in.

The beautiful bathroom has a great double-ended bath so nobody gets the tap end! It's great to just lie in the bath after an energetic day on the cliffs, or running around the beach. There is also a separate glass enclosed shower.

The main bedroom is upstairs and has a fantastic view of Bartinney and Chapel Carn Brea – the hills you must stroll up on a clear day for amazing panoramic views of the coastline around Land's End. You can also get a glimpse of the sea from the bedroom.

There's good storage and wardrobe space, a king size bed, and an en-suite toilet and sink.

In this bedroom you get the joy of the morning sun, and it's even better at the end of the day when the setting sun often exaggerates the colours of the hills wonderfully. The tiny window in the en-suite toilet also provides a pretty amazing view across to Sennen and Longships Lighthouse as well.

Finally there's the utility space that has the washing machine in it. It's always warm in here so good for drying clothes damp from a day on the beach, but of course it's far nicer to hang them outside if it's sunny, and there is space to do so on the main washing line.

We don't get home as often as we'd like, and so the garden is kept simple, and is mainly Cornish hedging and grass with a couple of seating areas that give options for shelter whichever way the wind's blowing.
